Cheese and Wine

A couple of weekends ago, we had a reunion with our Eurotrip friends in Tali beach, Batangas! There were a lot of us on tour, I think more than 50 but unfortunately not everyone can be contacted since some are in Davao etc. Here are some of our tourmates... not everyone..

We had wine and cheese beside the sea on this clifflike part of the beach. Didn't think I'd enjoy wine and cheese and nuts and all this fancy stuff (being that usually old people catch up over something like this) but I actually quite enjoyed this... A LOT. ANDDDD of course the company, I should say, is the best. I learned so many insights, from our friends from the tour because they're so successful in their own careers yet so incredibly humble.

One of the things I loved that Tita Darlene (now my tita hahaha), brought from their house are these plastic lights that are rechargeable and you could just bring everywhere! They're light and you can actually sit on them.. and they'd float if you put them on water.. Imagine how pretty they'd look on a swimming pool at night *u*

Beautiful house! I have so much more photos but this post would be too long. The kitchen at night! Sorry for lighting :|

View from the poolside couch thingyyy

After dinner, we had karaoke and then spent the night here. I definitely think there'd be more of our reunions like this.. well at least I hope so!

Forget Me Not Specialty Cakes

Today after church, we ate at Forque just along Arnaiz avenue in Makati (very near our church) because we figured it we should try something new.. anyway, after that we went to this small but cute pastry shop beside the restaurant. Their logo though.. kind of makes the place look cheap but I heard a lot of local celebs order cakes from here..

My mom ordered that Dulce de leche cake (which tasted nothing like dulce de leche for me hahahaha it tasted like a cheesecake) and i ordered that brownie of some sort. It was good because it was so chewwy and chocolatey.. well I shouldn't trust me so much with pastries because anything sweet can honestly taste good to me so I don't know if my opinion counts...

I think the reason why I think I like this place is because it's so quiet! The place is kind of out of the way so I guess that's why a lot of people don't know about the place.. You'd have to go really to that place to eat there. I think their shop is really cute and well lit which I like (because it is potentially a good place to work on stuff) They don't have much pastries though, since they're more on party orders and stuff, but I think this would be a nice and quaint place to have coffee and cake with a friend or something.. nice and quiet place to talk and catch up (that kind of thing).

The whole left side of the wall was a mirror though, forgive meee. #ootd

If you wanna visit.. here's a map for ya'll

Peripera's Loving My Lip and Eye Remover Review

As you may have seen from my recent posts, I went to Korea over the sembreak... and if you guys aren't into make up or anything and don't know,  Korea is practically cosmetics heaven *u* In the last couple of years here in the Philippines, there have been a lot of Korean brands that have been taking over the teen cosmetics market by storm because of their super cute and adorbs packaging like The Face Shop, Etude House, Beauty Credit, Skin Food, etc. For me they're relatively cheaper compared to European/American cosmetics and they work fine since my skin isn't that sensitive anyway. When we went to korea though, it was so much more cheaper there.. so being the panic buyer that I am, you could say I bought a loooot. :| Anyway, here's one of the things I got there: Peripera's Loving My Lip and Eye Remover

Thing I noticed with Korean branding is how they phrase things.. Don't fret because this make up remover doesn't really remove your eyes and lips.. :)) I have a nail polish remover that's also korean and it says 'nail remover' haha sounds painful ANYWAYYY

Pros:
  • not oily/greasy
  • more hygienic packaging than cold creams
  • takes away almost all eye make up with just one swipe of cotton
  • good with waterproof mascara/eyeliner
  • smells so yummy! like grapfruit or something :3
Cons:
  • It's not available in the Phils :<
  • nothing really lol

Korea Day 1 Part 2

So here's Korea Day 1 Part 2 :) We went to the Buddhist player place and there was actually a small palace there.. I forgot to include a picture lol.. Then we rode a cable car up to the peak of the mountain where it was hella cold :| Reminded me of the Swiss Alps in Titlis BRRR

Teddy Bear Museum! Just 2 of the many pictures I took.. everything was so adorable:3 *cue Princess Hours theme* hihi

Trainstation!

Our Korean tourguide/photographer asked me to sit there... of course i was scared shitless because the train warning thing blew off soon after @_@

Sheep feeding!! and of course Koreans make everything cute -___-"

Lastly, Ginseng.. that root is 5 years old.. another more year before it's harvested.. Never knew it took 6 years to grow a perfect human-shaped ginseng root.. no wonder it's so expensive :|

Korea Day 1 Part 1

So just recently over the sembreak, me and my parents went to Korea for 4 days. Can I just saaay, Korea is too beautiful for my life huhuhu I wanted to say there forever :( Everything was so cute, and the people so warm. Anyway, straight from the airport, we ate breakfast and went straight to Nami Island (famous for being shooting site of the Endless Loves series).. We were super lucky because the time we went, the leaves were just starting to change colors an it was just :')  Here's a super compressed visual journey of the island:

Glitter on yellow

Did this just a while ago.. I wanted to post something so badly but I didn't know what, I figured might as well post it here lol

Nail polish used from (L-R) :
-Etude House's Lucida glitter polish in silver
-CR lol just got this brand in a tiangge
-local brand Chic's white satin

I honestly don't know why some people are soooo brand conscious about everything. Even with nail polish.. I honestly don't care.. as long as I like the color I'd buy it. I know the branded ones usually last longer, but with my constant changing of nail polish (i get bored with it easily), it doesn't matter because I'd take them off after a couple of days anyway.

Got that perfect sunshine yellow nail polish i wanted in 168 for like P20 haha //cheapskateforever
